TREETOP

HOME

This house had incredible architectural bones but was crippled by a 1980s remodel gone bad. The kitchen was a tiny U-shaped galley that was tucked away and cramped. There was so much wasted space begging to be used in a more family-friendly way, so we opened up the kitchen to take advantage of the original vaulted Doug fir ceilings and the private treetop view. Creating two islands gave the space a circular flow that makes cooking and entertaining easy.
