FELIDA FARMHOUSE
Residential Property
Design
Set along the edge of Vancouver Lake, this expansive family home was designed for a young family with three daughters, with spaces that invite both gathering and play. Composed as a series of connected volumes, the architecture opens easily to the landscape through gabled forms, warm wood soffits, and a restrained exterior palette that gives the home a strong, approachable rhythm.
Inside, generous living spaces are balanced with moments of intimacy and texture. A double-height living room frames views to the pool and lake beyond, anchored by a dramatic split-face stone fireplace that brings warmth and scale to the room. Materials shift subtly from space to space, creating an environment that feels layered, relaxed, and comfortable rather than precious.
Outdoor living is central to daily life. Sliding walls open fully to covered patios, an outdoor kitchen, and gathering areas that flow naturally around the pool. The pool house and guest casita echo the main residence, reinforcing a cohesive feel across the site while allowing the home to flex for guests, entertaining, and quiet weekends alike.
The family’s three daughters were a constant point of inspiration, shaping spaces that encourage imagination, movement, and togetherness. Kid-forward moments, including a media room with built-in bunks and a climbing wall, are integrated seamlessly into the home, supporting play without ever feeling separate from the overall design.
The result is a warm, highly livable lakefront home designed to grow with a family, balancing ease, intention, and a sense of fun.
